The Story Of Jubilation Fellowship
Foundational Day
September 9, 1984, was the first service and the beginning of God’s design for Jubilation Fellowship.
The Journey
Pastor David and Nancy Wright, with their two children, embarked on a journey of faith from California as they responded to the call of the Lord to plant a church in Murphy, Oregon.
Early Times
With a handful of people from Rogue River Assembly of God, a body of believers began the ministry in Murphy, and it is still going strong. The journey, to this date, has been met with many obstacles and struggles, yet God has always shown Himself to be faithful. God has provided what we have needed, from the first small meeting place in 1984, to the use of the old Murphy School, to the use of New Hope Christian School, and then to the provision of our own building, since 1992.
God’s Provision For A Home Church
Each step was evidence of God’s plan for this church. When we needed a permanent location, the Lord moved on an individual to purchase several acres, to subdivide the property, and to gift the church with 5 acres of property to build on, in Murphy. People we didn’t know at the time, donated time, materials, and finances, to help build the church building.
Planting & Sustaining Miracles
The miracles we experienced as God moved to plant and sustain this church were plentiful, and they were marvelous! The original owner of the property had told his children that he had prayed, and asked the Lord to one day have a church there. God answered his prayer!
International Reach
The ministry of Jubilation Fellowship has reached across the ocean to the Philippines, where we have planted churches and preached evangelistic crusades. We continue to support those church ministries today.
An Enduring Work
For nearly four decades, Pastor David and Nancy Wright are still fulfilling the call of God in ministry, as Pastors at Jubilation Fellowship in Murphy, Oregon, along with some of the original members and elders.
